Your Team
The Data Governance team is responsible for developing and implementing ASIC's data strategy. The team works collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders to develop data policies, principles, and standards to optimize the capture, sharing, and use of data in ASIC. The team oversees a data governance program to protect ASIC's data assets and manage risk.

Your Role This role has a focus on ASIC's business registries. As a Data Governance Policy Specialist, you will:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of standards, policies, and processes to ensure data compliance across the organisation.
• Develop and implement systems for monitoring compliance with data governance policies, standards, and risk management frameworks.
• Work with the Business Analyst to document data governance practices within Registries and identify improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistency and standardisation of reference data in ASIC's Common Language Vocabulary and Taxonomy.
• Manage data risks, conduct control testing, and prepare reports for the Risk Committee.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Information Management, Economics, Law, or similar disciplines.
• Experience in the development and application of data governance practices and policies.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills and experience working with complex data.
• Proficiency in a variety of software applications, including Microsoft products.
