UTS Careers Engagement team maximises stakeholder engagement with UTS Careers. Based in the Engagement team, the Designer is accountable for the creation and execution of both Careers’ and Orientation’s visual identity across all communication channels, ensuring they adhere to UTS branding guidelines, remain current with wider market trends, are consistent and cohesive, meet organisational requirements, and also represents our culture, strategy and priorities. About the role The incumbent in this position will work within UTS Careers and strive to reach the outcomes of their area through day-to-day activities. In this role, you will be responsible for: • Maintaining Careers visual identity and ensuring the visuals align with UTS brand guidelines• Designing all marketing material and collateral for UTS Careers initiatives (including Orientation) in collaboration with the Engagement team and the wider UTS Careers team• Designing a suite of templates for UTS Careers using correct and latest branding• Proposing innovative design solutions • Improving and enhancing the UX/UI for Careers’ student and industry-facing websites, Orientation site and any Canvas sites or microsites as needed • Creating content including animation, resources and videos for a broad range of student and industry facing initiatives About you To be successful in this role, you will have: • Demonstrated experience in graphic design and exceptional visual communication skills• Experience responding to a brief, where you need to propose innovative design solutions• Experience working across multiple projects and platforms• Exceptional skills in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Photoshop and Illustrator, After Effects, Premier Pro, Lightroom, Adobe Acrobat)• High level of attention to detail • Experience in project management and good time management skills• An understanding of user needs; experience undertaking user research and being able to pivot and deliver to the requirements • Experience across both UX and UI design• Demonstrated ability to produce visual communication materials for varied audiences With examples from your previous work experience, please outline, in a separate document, how you meet the following five (5) key selection criteria points below:• Extensive experience working in a Design role • Ability to make design decisions that align with strategic and campaign objectives on behalf of an organisation • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, with a constant focus on customer outcomes• Extensive experience using Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Photoshop and Illustrator, After Effects, Premier Pro, Lightroom, Adobe Acrobat) Remuneration & Benefits Base Salary Range: $92,851 to $100,534 pa (HEW 6) This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary. This position is full-time and the appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis until 30 August 2025, covering a parental leave position.
