- $37.00 - $38.00 per hour (plus applicable allowances) + Superannuation + Salary packaging
We are currently seeking EEN’s for part time opportunities, to join our team working in the community to provide care and services to enable older people to continue living independently and safely at home.
The Role
The EEN (under the supervision of a Registered Nurse) provides a range of clinical care and support services for Home Care and CHSP consumers, assisting them to experience a greater level of independence and ensuring their health and wellness are supported.
Role responsibilities
- Medication administration
- Wound care and drain management
- Blood sugar monitoring and diabetes education
- Liaising with other health professionals such as medical teams, pharmacists, allied health professionals and other specialists
- Documentation, reporting and the development of care plans
- Falls management
- Palliative care and family support
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- EN Level 3 Diploma with Medication Endorsement (4-5 routes)
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidence in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio
- Hold a current motor vehicle drivers’ license of the correct class for the vehicle being driven and the number of passengers being transported and comply with any restrictions on their license (e.g. wearing glasses) while undertaking work duties
- Access to a private motor vehicle that can be used for work related travel
- All community care workers must be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and encouraged to receive the Flu-Vaccine, all successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
- A valid Police Clearance is required to fulfill the inherent requirements of this role.
- Salary packaging, package up to $15,900 per year tax free on items like Mortgage, Rent or everyday bills
- In addition to your tax-free benefit, you can also use up to $2,650 of your pre-tax income to pay for entertainment expenses (meals, holiday accommodation etc.)
