The role:
Exciting opportunities exist for General Practitioners to join the Women’s Health Clinics team at Northern Health.

The Women’s Health Clinics at Northern Health are Part of the Victorian Department of Health initiative to develop 20 multidisciplinary women’s health clinics across Victoria, with funding confirmed until June 2027. These clinics will be integrated with existing women’s health and gynaecological services at Northern Health and aim to expand on existing services and develop multidisciplinary models of care. The multi-disciplinary team includes Nurses, Gynaecologists, Endocrinologist, pelvic health physiotherapists and other allied health practitioners.

The General Practitioners – Women’s Health Clinics roles will be in the

• multi-disciplinary menopause clinic,
• IUD contraception clinics and/or
• sexual counselling clinics.

Individual can apply for one or more of these areas depending on interest and experience. Work will all be onsite.

There are Fractional Fixed Term contacts available.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no conditions or restrictions.
• Specialist Registration as a General Practitioner (FRACGP or ACCRM) or Career Medical Officer with at least 5 years’ experience in Women’s Health.
• Post-graduate qualification in Women’s Health eg Certificate of Women’s Health, Diploma of the RANZCOG (DRANZCOG) and the DRANZCOG Advanced – (DESIRABLE)
• Completion of relevant courses on Sexual Health, sexual counselling or couples’ therapy (DESIRABLE for that role)
• Completion of RACGP accredited courses on Menopause management (DESIRABLE for that role)
• Demonstrated interest and experience in the provision of Women’s Healthcare
• Demonstrated effective communication skills
• Current National Police and Working with Children History Check
