About your opportunity:
Fixed term temporary full-time, up to 15/10/2024 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months / Location: Charters Towers

The Home Care Coordinator will:

• To supervise, manage and coordinate Home Care Services available to eligible clients and their carers.
• To ensure that Home Care Services are planned, implemented, managed and delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
• To manage and coordinate Home Care Workers in accordance with Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) program.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:

• Knowledge of or the ability to acquire knowledge of the CHSP Commonwealth Home Support Program guidelines and their impact upon services provided to the clients of Home Care Services.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to consult and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders and apply effective conflict resolution strategies.
• Proven ability to work as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary and cohesive team within a changing work environment including timely sharing of information, supporting and assisting colleagues in a proactive manner.
• Proven computer skills, word processing, spreadsheet application, database management, and experience with the TRACCS data base and rostering system.
• An understanding of, or ability to acquire knowledge of, Human Resource Management issues including Workplace Health and Safety, Employment Equity and Anti-discrimination.
• Excellent time management skills, the ability to be flexible, reliable and adaptable to an ever-changing client base and availability.
• The ability to prioritise workloads along with the ability think and formulate plans at short notice.

• Generous remuneration package value up to $9,237 p.m. comprising:
• Salary range of $3532.50 to $3724.00 p.f. (OO6)
• Annual leave with 17.5% loading
• 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

• This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
