Landscaper - leading hand

What Do We Do
Based in the Inner West of Sydney with the majority of our jobs in the area, we specialise in the design and construction of small residential gardens. We offer services in paving, timber and stone work, decking, block work, irrigation and drainage, planting, turfing and all softscapes.
What We Are Looking For
- A local, qualified team player and leader, with a keen eye for detail
- Someone with a good personality and sense of humour, with a passion for working outside
- Experience in aspects of landscape construction, including use of relevant tools and machinery
- Skills to lead a small team of landscaper workers on-site, and the ability to coordinate and prioritise daily tasks
- Arrange and co-ordinate supplies and deliveries, liaise with clients and suppliers as needed
- Ensure the safety of all workers and compliance with OHS regulations.
- Problem-solve any issues that arise on-site.
- Qualification in landscape construction, with experience in the landscape construction industry.
- Proven experience as a Leading Hand, or similar role in landscape construction.
- Experience supervising a small team, including strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Holds a driver's license and has the necessary visa/working rights in Australia.
- Proactive in making constructive suggestions and observations during construction.
- Thorough understanding of landscape construction techniques, standards, and tolerances.
- Efficient and cooperative, working seamlessly under guidance from tradespeople and site manager

There is great opportunity with this role to move into management - assisting with quoting, supplier relationships, staff training and development.
