The details:
As one of our Low Loader Truck Operators, you'll be predominantly operating Council's low loader and tilt tray trucks to load, restrain and transport various items of plant/machinary and equipment to our operational teams around the City of Moreton Bay area. The equipment being transported will include graders, rollers, excavators, drotts, front end loaders, tractors, light vehicles, site sheds, shipping containers and various other equipment as required. You will also be undertaking daily checks and basic maintenance on the trucks, carrying out pre start checks on the relevant trucks and/or plant and reporting any defects or safety issues as required.

About you
Ideally you will have demonstrated current or recent experience in a position undertaking similar duties/transporting similar equipment. You will have the experience and ability to safely load, restrain and operate trucks, the ability work constructively as part of a team and a sound level of written and verbal communication skills. Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.
Paired with the above listed skills and experience, you will hold a current truck licence (minimum HC - heavy combination) and a Construction Induction Card.
