We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate male Support Workers with experience in mental health to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in supporting individuals with mental health conditions, particularly Schizophrenia and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)Experience working with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants and clients exhibiting challenging behaviours is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality support to individuals with mental health conditions.
* Assist clients in managing daily activities and achieving their personal goals.
* Implement individualised support plans
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
* Manage challenging behaviours with appropriate strategies and interventions.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and activities.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in mental health support, with a focus on Schizophrenia and FASD.
* Experience working with NDIS participants.
* Demonstrated ability to manage challenging behaviours.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications in mental health or a related field (desirable).
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $31.76 – $41.76 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 38 per week
