Manager – Projects – Container Parks
Based in Port Botany on an initial 12-month contract this position will take ownership and responsibility for project management activities associated with the Container Parks Business projects nationally. This includes working with key business stakeholders to prioritise projects and obtain approval to execute the projects. The role will undertake end to end project management activities across the Container Parks portfolio of projects.
This position will work with operational staff on site to develop and execute business projects for the Container Parks Business across Australia at the ports as well as work with key Senior Leadership team members to support project management delivery.

Based in Port Botany on an initial 12-month contract this position will take ownership and responsibility for project management activities associated with the Container Parks Business projects nationally. This includes working with key business stakeholders to prioritise projects and obtain approval to execute the projects. The role will undertake end to end project management activities across the Container Parks portfolio of projects.
This position will work with operational staff on site to develop and execute business projects for the Container Parks Business across Australia at the ports as well as work with key Senior Leadership team members to support project management delivery.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and support key projects that deliver a business solution and support broader business development
- Plan the project and monitor its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate with key stakeholders.
- Developing and managing a project plan, to support the activity, resources and interdependencies
- Identifying and resolving issues and managing project risks, including the development of contingency plans
- Taking the lead in managing relationships including internal and external team members, stakeholders and sponsors/project board
- Ensuring that the right people, with the right skills, are secured for the right roles within the project
- Identifying and obtaining any support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the project
- Conducting end project evaluation to assess how well the project was managed and preparing an end-project report (including lessons learned report/preparation of any follow-on action recommendations as required)
- Ensure that a governance structure which is appropriate to the project is set up and that all contributors / stakeholders are informed, including:
- Identifying and engaging with key stakeholders: This includes building relationships with them to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Facilitating stakeholder meetings: Organizing and leading regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss project progress, address concerns, and provide updates.
- Communicating project updates: Keeping stakeholders informed of project progress, changes, and potential impacts on their interests.
- Managing stakeholder expectations: Ensuring stakeholders have a clear understanding of project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and managing their expectations throughout the project life cycle. Participating in Project Status and Planning forums in order to understand potential project and resource needs during the year
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management disciplines
- 5+ years of Project Management industry experience
- Project Management certification or designation, PMP ideal
- Experience of Managing multiple Business Projects
- Experience in successfully managing a portfolio of projects
- Experience with and knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and tools
- Experience with large-scale organizational project management efforts
- Experience in working in industries that have a similar workforce composition of DP World
- Experience working in an Industrial relations landscape
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
- Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
