Marine Officer Grade 3

As a Marine Officer, you'll be required to work outside standard operating hours and on some weekends to deliver the program of works as required by the Area Manager. Also, Marine Officers may be required to participate in oil pollution emergencies both inter and intrastate, and undertake other travel required as part of a multifunctional team.
You will be well supported in your role by management, through training and an inclusive work environment which promotes a healthy work/life balance. You will also have a level of flexibility to create your own time management to meet your needs whist ensuring a customer focus is achieved.
As a Marine Officer Grade 3, you will play an important role where some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Working in partnership with stakeholders to embed their awareness of marine safety and environmental sustainability.- Processing and recommending approval of applications and authorities.- Conducting compliance activities through monitoring the condition and operation of vessels against legislative requirements- Lead educational engagements and compliance initiatives to promote safe vessel operation practices.- Undertaking comprehensive investigations into non-compliance with relevant legislation- Managing projects under the direction of the Area Manager
