Motel Manager

- The Business is located in the heart of the Cowra NSW. The Cowra Crest Motel is a 12 room family owned and operated Motel .
- .We now require a dedicated, full-time Motel Manager for our team. The position requires
- Essential Skills / Qualities as follow;-
- A minimum One (1 ) years experience as a Motel/ Hotel Manager in a similar establishment.
- Experience in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certification or qualifications preferred. Knowledge and previous operation of RMS booking system an advantage .
- The person we are looking for will have an excellent eye for detail and ideally possess the following qualities:
- Hard working, honest,reliable, responsible and able to problem solve
- Able to work under pressure and unsupervised but also an excellent team player
- Able to work on weekends/ public holiday
- The successful applicant will be required to fulfill the following duties:-
- Plan, implement and manage overall motel daily operations including liaising with guests when appropriate (welcome guests and outline facilities; offer information regarding the district)
- Supervise work at all levels (reservation, reception, room service and housekeeping activities)
- Managing guest bookings to maximise revenue. Actively involved with reporting and budget planning.
- Plan and supervise restaurant, bar, function and conference activities.
- Set and meet clear objectives.
- Manage budgets/expenses, analyse and interpret financial information and monitor sales and profits
- Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agencies, event/conference planners
- Responsible for maintenance and efficiency of all equipment and machinery.
- The evaluation, development and implementation of workplace policies and procedures as directed by the General Manager and Director. This will Include regular inspection of facilities. and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement an intuitive and efficient marketing strategy to promote the hotel’s services
- Manage stock control including ordering of stock as necessary.
- Supervision, training and coordination of staff including dealing with staff shortages.
- Rostering staff according to demand and adjusting where necessary to be in line with budget
- Oversee renovations
- Must hold or be willing to undertake a current National Police Check and First Aid Certificate.

- Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $74000 per year + Superannuation Hours: 38 hours per week. Schedule includes Shift work.
