We are a well-established and rapidly growing removals company, seeking a motivated and experienced Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in transporting furniture, equipment, and supplies, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of items to various client locations.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in driving Medium Rigid Trucks, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to customer service and safety is paramount in this role.
Key Responsibilities:

• Truck Operations: Safely operate a variety of trucks, ranging from Medium Rigid trucks, to transport office furniture, appliances, and other equipment from one location to another, adhering to all road and company safety regulations.
• Item Security: Secure all items in the truck using appropriate restraints, ensuring no damage occurs during transit. This includes double-checking for stability and load balancing.
• Loading & Unloading: Assist with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of trucks when necessary, coordinating with the removals team to ensure everything is handled with care.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally and effectively with clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction. Address any concerns or queries on-site in a professional manner.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including removalists and warehouse staff, to ensure smooth operations from pickup to delivery.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all relevant safety guidelines, ensuring the safe handling of all items and equipment. Conduct routine vehicle checks and ensure maintenance of trucks to a high standard.

Requirements:

• Valid MR, or HR Driver’s Licenses.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to occasionally assist in manual tasks such as lifting and moving heavy items. Comfortable standing, walking, and working in various conditions for extended periods.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on securing loads, ensuring nothing is damaged during transport. A commitment to safety and precision in all tasks.
• Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. Able to work closely with clients to meet their needs and address any concerns on-site.
• Time Flexibility: Willingness to work early mornings, occasional weekends, and manage shifts that may change due to job demand.
• Team Player: Comfortable working as part of a team, assisting colleagues when necessary to achieve the best outcome for clients and the company.

Additional Considerations:

• Experience in a removals, logistics, or transport industry will be highly regarded.
• Familiarity with driving automatic trucks is preferred as we maintain a modern fleet of vehicles.

What We Offer:

• Job Type: Casual (with the potential for additional hours depending on business needs)
• Pay Rate: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
• Hours: Approximately 20 to 40 hours per week, with flexible working conditions.
• Modern Fleet: Our fleet includes a range of 4.5t to 11t GVM Meduim Rigid trucks, all equipped with the latest safety features to ensure a smooth and safe driving experience.
