Waste Truck Driver and Operator

We currently have multiple opportunities for professional Drivers/Operators to join our Chinchilla, QLD Team at REMONDIS, to operate hook-lift vehicles, skip trucks, front lift trucks and vacuum trucks. Some of these vehicles are a truck and dog configuration, so a HC license is preferred. There may be some additional on-site duties required. Candidates who have the necessary qualifications and experience to operate all or a number of these vehicle types (and others) will be highly regarded.
Duties include but are not limited to:

Efficiently operating the above-mentioned vehicles and plant
Providing an effective essential service in collecting, transporting, and disposing of a range of waste and recyclable materials.
Maintaining a safe work environment for yourself, your colleagues, and the public.
Protecting the environment.
Continuously looking for to improve our service delivery and reduce the risks associated with the work we do.
Adhering to customer procedures / rules when undertaking work on their sites.
Attend to basic maintenance of vehicles, including maintaining vehicles in a clean and tidy state.
Completing day-to-day documentation accurately and timely manner.

Position Requirements:

HC driver’s license along with previous experience with a good driving record.
Excellent customer service.
Good time management and literacy skills.
Safety focus.
Experience in a similar position essential.
Knowledge of the local area preferable.
Will need to pass a Police / Explosive Security check.
