Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Based in our St Vincent's clinic in Launceston, a Locum opportunity exists for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our friendly and collaborative team. We need assistance from October 2024 to April 2025, travel and accomidation will be provided. You will be rostered Monday to Friday, with shifts between 7am – 6pm, with on call requirement.
Reporting to the Chief Technologist, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine/PET including radiopharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard.

Due to training requirements and on the job support, and to ensure you have enough contact time to master your role, we prefer that you have no planned extended leave for the first 3 months in the role.

- Performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine including radio-pharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard
- Consistently delivering high levels of patient care and service
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers
- Promoting and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated ability to perform high quality Nuclear Medicine examinations independently
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of health professionals and corporate staff
- Tertiary qualification in Nuclear Medicine
- Applicants must be AHPRA Registered and hold a VIC radiation license
