• 
  The role is to provide effective leadership and strategic direction in a Say Surgery Model of Care to ensure high quality, clinical patient care and best practice standards, in line with Mercy Health Policy, Procedure and Guidelines, GENCA & AS5369
• To tactically manage the operational, financial, human and information resources within the unit liaising with the Divisional Director and Deputy Divisional Director of Perioperative and Specialist Services and other key stakeholders such as the Operating Suite, CSSD, Elective Waitlist Office, Wards/Departments and external Health Services as required.
• An opportunity to commission 2 x Operating Theatres and plan service delivery of same to promote an efficient and safe Day Surgery Hub

• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
• Demonstrated previous experience in leadership and staff management
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA)
• Post Graduate Degree (or working towards) in hospital or health services, administration management or equivalent qualification - highly desirable
