About us:
Gladstone Hospital provides a range of services to Gladstone and the Banana region. Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy will see Gladstone Hospital developed as a centre for emergency care, medical inpatient and day surgery excellence. This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities. Our Operational Services provides a catering, housekeeping, ward support and fire safety and security service to the entire Gladstone Hospital facility and surrounds.

About the role:

• Provide quality Catering services to the clients of the Gladstone Hospital facility.
• Assist in food services functions, by following routine procedures and established techniques to complete tasks as directed. Required to operate individually through a variety of duties including but not limited to salad, sandwich and vegetable preparation, plating of meals, beverage service, delivery of meals, morning and afternoon teas, client contact, cleaning, and stock management.
• Work in a team environment to ensure the food service function meets the required nutritional and food safety standards.
• Liaise with clinical work colleagues to make certain patient safety is maintained.

About you:

• While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in Health Support Services would be well regarded.
• Demonstrated knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in equipment, products, standards, policies and procedures related to Operational Services.
• Ability to carry out duties with minimum of supervision, set realistic work priorities and meet deadlines through good organisational skills.

What we offer:Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $76,206 p.a. is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $31-24 - $33.68 p.h.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
• 17.5% leave loading
