About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join Metcash as our new Performance & Rewards Manager. In this role, you will be a key contributor to Metcash’s performance & reward strategy, policies and practices.
As a part of the Performance & Reward team, you will provide the business with performance and reward subject matter expertise and streamlined processes.
In this Role
- Manage and lead the annual performance management process
- Consult with key business and People & Culture team members to identify, develop and implement policy and process improvements.
- Plan and deliver cyclical processes, including annual remuneration review, short-term and long-term, Gender Pay Equity analysis and reporting.
- Undertake and oversee job evaluations and job levelling as required by the business, assisting with the development of organisational structures.
- Subject matter expert for the People & Culture team and leaders across the business on performance and reward matters, including the provision of remuneration recommendations.
- Manage the incentive plan administration processes.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and liaise with external providers to maintain a compelling suite of employee benefits and ensure effective communications of these across Metcash.
- Support the Head of Performance & Reward and/or the Chief People & Culture Officer with the preparation of Board/Committee Papers, with supporting data for any proposals.
- Provide on-going education and communication of performance and reward policies and processes Metcash wide
- Undertake data analysis, modelling and other research on performance and reward projects and initiatives
You’re Likely a Match If
- Recognised tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance or Human Resources.
- At least 6-8 years' experience working with remuneration fundamentals such as job evaluation, job grading, pay ranges, market data, job matching, benchmarking, remuneration surveys, salary packaging etc
- Job evaluation trained (Hay methodology)
- Thorough understanding and experience with the components of remuneration e.g. salary, allowances, Superannuation Guarantee, salary sacrifice superannuation, motor vehicles, incentive payments, FBT etc.
- Good understanding of and experience in implementation of STI and sales incentive plans
- Strong spreadsheet, data analysis and data presentation skills.
- Excellent writing capability and experience.
