About the Opportunity
Our Distribution centre in Huntingwood centre is looking for a lead trainer to drive efficiency across the operations by ensuring all training is delivered in alignment to the agreed national delivery standard & curriculum. These standards are achieved by mentoring & developing team trainers and holding accountability to deliver planned training & assess individual effectiveness aligned to the competency criteria. The lead cascades the delivery methodology to team trainers, tracks training progression, maintains centralised documentation & identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Manage and monitor training across the Distribution Centre, ensuring all team members are competent in their roles and that training is planned and delivered using a centralized training tool.
- Conduct training needs analysis to identify gaps and prioritize training based on best practices and operational demands.
- Plan and execute induction training for new starters, including both initial orientation and ongoing training until competency is achieved.
- Coordinate and implement cross-functional training to enhance operational efficiency and ensure labor availability based on competency levels.
- Oversee the growth and development of team trainers, fostering a professional environment that supports their personal and professional growth while ensuring a consistent learning experience through the ASK, TELL, SHOW, DO methodology.
- Monitor and embed safety practices in technical training in alignment with national standards, and present training data to operational leaders to assess new starter progress and training effectiveness.
- Demonstrated experiences in leading & delivering training & assessment across broad teams.
- Understanding of warehousing operations, compliance, systems & processes
- Knowledge of safety policies & KPI's inclusive of workplace health & safety, chain of responsibility, TRIFR and HACCP safety compliance & injury management.
- Broad exposure & experience across DC key functional areas.
- Competency & practical application of warehouse tools & equipment (e.g., EPJ, forklift, pallet wrapper, & personal protective equipment)
- Efficiency in Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point.)
