What you'll be doing
To provide clinical and dispensary pharmacy services to Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals to optimise safe and appropriate use of medications for patients and staff.

Essential Requirements

Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by tertiary education institutions e.g. Bachelor of Pharmacy.
Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist registration with AHPRA.

Selection Criteria

Full AHPRA registration without restrictions or able to be registered as a pharmacist within 3 months of commencement. Ability to rotate across Blacktown and Mount Druitt sites. Must be able to participate in flexible work hours, on call, weekend and public holiday work as required. Grade 2 Pharmacists must meet the criteria set out in the Health Employees’ Pharmacist (State) Award and are expected to continually demonstrate achievement of at least three of the five listed competencies within the Award.

Demonstrated experience as a pharmacist in the hospital setting.

Demonstrated effective clinical drug knowledge and competence in its application to achieve safe and efficient quality of care.

Must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with patients and other stakeholders to improve patient care and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with limited supervision to meet team objectives.

Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a complex workload, problem solving, development and implementation of initiative.

Proven commitment to professional development, continuing education and pharmacy research, includingmembership of a professional pharmacy association,preferably the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA).
