About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples who have relevant experience to join our Asset Development & Data team in Perth as Principal, Asset Development – Heavy Mining Equipment. You’ll be connecting Maintenance, Planning & Engineering, Studies and Operational Readiness teams, to ensure Asset Management Practices and Standards are considered and implemented as new equipment transitions from development assets to operational assets.
You’ll be part of a diverse team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work Monday – Friday with ad hoc site travel and flexible working available, which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Reporting to the Manager Asset Development & Data, you will:
- Be the key connector between Maintenance, Planning & Engineering, Studies, Development & Technology and Project Readiness teams to ensure our Heavy Mining Equipment asset management requirements are not excluded
- Ensure the standardisation and selection of equipment through the project stages into operational handover is aligned to the Heavy Mining Equipment standards
- Ensure consideration is given to operational practices and maintenance concerns during the project feasibility studies
- Be the key connector between operational teams and regional teams, in preparation for and during the commissioning stages of projects, ensuring key plans are in place
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset
- Technical knowledge of mining operations and Heavy Mining Equipment Understanding of basic business finance concepts
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical and risk management abilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnering skills
- Project management and leadership skills would be advantageous
