Public Trust Office

Public Trust Officer

Townsville

FULL TIME

September 20, 2024

About the role
Picture yourself making a real impact on the lives of Queenslanders through your daily work. As a Public Trust Officer (PTO) with the Queensland Public Trustee (QPT), you'll provide expert financial advice and guidance, helping customers navigate complex situations relating to financial management. You'll be at the forefront of customer interactions, offering empathetic, high-quality service to individuals from diverse backgrounds, many of whom are facing vulnerable circumstances.
Your role will be crucial in ensuring that Queenslanders, whether dealing with mental health issues, disabilities, or aged-related challenges, are supported in making informed financial decisions. You'll manage a caseload, provide documentation, and maintain up-to-date customer records, all while using your strong judgment to advise on critical financial matters. This is more than a job, it's an opportunity to contribute to your community by ensuring customers' financial wellbeing.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Townsville. Please download the role description for more information.

  • Positive, empathetic attitude with a solution-focused approach
  • Proficient conflict resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills for de-escalation

  • Capability to maintain focus and optimism under pressure
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to thrive in a busy work environment
  • Competence in interpreting and applying legislation, policy, and procedures within delegated limits.
