Quality and Compliance Officer - Primary Health Care

This is a dynamic and rewarding role, as TAIHS is a unique organisation, providing a varied range of services across multiple facets of our community.
TAIHS was established in 1974. At that time, it was the fourth Aboriginal community-controlled health service (ACCHS) established in Australia. TAIHS provides comprehensive primary health services and a range of community services. TAIHS seeks to improve health and social outcomes for the community through strategic partnerships advocacy for needs, promotion of awareness and education in improved health and social practices, the promotion of knowledge and understanding of underlying issues to address the unique patient and client needs and the development of evidence-based practices.

The Position
This position is responsible for the provision of high-level operational support to the Director of Health Services and Quality and Compliance Team. This will include support around quality and compliance processes in the corporate, health and community health space.
While the position reports to the Director of Health Services the position will work closely with the broader Primary Care team and the Quality and Compliance team to support quality, risks and compliance processes.
Generous remuneration package and benefits
This position has the opportunity to work as a Full-time employee on weekdays with the hourly rate between, $49 and $51 plus 11.5% Superannuation. Other employment benefits include salary sacrificing options, employee wellness and assistance programs.
To be suitable for this position, your qualifications, experience & licenses for the role will consist of:
- Possess a relevant qualification in the field of health, community services or quality auditing or at least 5 years’ experience in a business support role and / or contract management
- Proven ability to employ interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal), critical thinking problem solving skills in the work environment and to support others to problem solve challenging situations and issues
- Proven ability to implement support project planning and implement project plans and the achievement of project outcomes
- Managing and Leading Internal Audits Certification
- Demonstrated analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to prioritise and manage complexity in the workplace
- Demonstrated competence in the application and use of primary health software packages and supporting primary healthcare tools
