An exciting opportunity exists for a Quality Supervisor to join Wilmar Bio Ethanol in Yarraville, Melbourne. In this role, you will be accountable for providing technical support to the business and managing laboratory requirements.

About the Business
Wilmar Sugar and Renewables is Australia's largest Manufacturer and exporter of raw sugar, and among the top 10 producers globally.
We own and operate eight sugar factories across the Herbert, Burdekin, Proserpine and Sarina regions and employ more than 2,000 people during the annual sugar production season.
We are one of Australia's largest generators of renewable electricity from biomass and one of only two bioethanol producers in Australia. We are also the largest sugarcane grower in Australia and a leading supplier of sustainable liquid fertiliser and stockfeed products.
Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee Daily Laboratory Operations: Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the lab by managing workflows, scheduling, and overseeing the timely and accurate analysis of ethanol samples.
- Lead and Mentor a Team: Provide leadership and support to a team of lab technicians, fostering a positive work environment. You will be responsible for training, mentoring, and performance management to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Ensure Compliance with Safety and Quality Standards: Uphold safety, quality, and environmental protocols, ensuring the lab meets all regulatory and company requirements. You will be responsible for implementing best practices and maintaining a culture of safety. This will also include, but not limited to managing and reporting on SHE compliance - training, sustainability, utilities, NPI (EPA) and trade waste.
- Maintain Laboratory Equipment: Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results and minimise downtime. You will also manage the inventory of lab supplies and consumables.
- Collaborate with Operations Teams: Work closely with operations teams by providing insights from lab results to inform operational decisions. Your analysis will play a key role in optimizing the process and maintaining product quality.
