The Project

The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.

The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes the construction of 14 kilometres of new lanes, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.

Key accountabilities for the position

To manage day to day Rail Corridor works.
To conduct Rail Safety Compliance inspections and Audits.
Ensure work in the rail corridor is compliant with the RTO Rail Safety / OHS related procedures.
Assist with developing and delivering Rail Toolboxes.
Attend and participate in occupation planning for M80RR project.
Work occupations as required
Provide Rail Safety/ Rail Safeworking / Track Protection to Acciona team members.
Undertake site walks with Work Group Supervisors, Project managers, sub-contractors and visitors.
Checking Rail Safety Worksite Hazard Assessment to determine the appropriate protection required for Acciona use.
Review infield allocation of TFPC” to ensure efficiencies
Assist in allocation of safeworking requirements for each element of work to facilitate safeworking resource forecasts
Assist with the monitoring of Fatigue.
Contribute to the development of the Occupation work guide.

Required Skills and Competencies

Track Force Protection Co-ordinator (TFPC) 3.2 safeworking
RIW Card with associated roles.
Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety or above.
Minimum 5 years Rail Experience. (Metro, ARTC, V Line)
Available to work Weekends and Night shifts as required.
