About Baptist Care Shalom Centre Macquarie Park

Shalom Centre aged care home offers quality care in a shared accommodation setting that is accessible to everyone. All rooms are fitted with en-suite bathrooms and feature large windows that bring in plenty of natural light and overlook tranquil gardens.

About the role
Shalom Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse for a set roster of night duties to cover parental leave. You will deliver high quality, responsive and individualised care. You’ll plan, organise and implement care in accordance with individual resident care plans and deliver and promote high standards of professional care. An experienced leader, you will provide clinical leadership, support and guidance to our care staff.
Duties may include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating each resident's care needs
• Carry out wide range of person-centered care in accordance with care plans
• Administer medication and wound dressings

We offer a highly competitive rate of pay, based on your years of experience, ranging from $42.85 -$53.74 per hour, plus super, shift loading and salary packaging

Rostered hours are as follows:
Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday night 11pm - 7.30am. A total of 51 hours per fortnight. Additional shifts available on an ad hoc basis

Skills and Experience

• You are a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration (essential)
• Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Proven ability to contribute to and work as part of a dynamic team in addition to operating independently
