Salary
- Classification - RN/M3 - Registered Nurse/Midwife LV 3 - $121,537 to $126,970 p.a
- Second Classification - AHP3 - Allied Health Professional L3 - $104,180 to $111,746 p.a
- allowance of 30% is payable for time worked on APY lands
- Full time - Term Contract (Temporary up to 30 Jan 2026)
About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS team as a Senior Mental Health Clinician, where you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality services to children, adolescents, and families experiencing complex social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties, guided by cultural input from Aboriginal staff.
- Supporting the learning and development of the Anangu workforce to enable them to drive their own health outcomes when possible.
- Delivering services in accordance with the National Mental Health Policy and Standards for Mental Health Services, aligned with the Vision and Values of the WCHN.
- Provide clinical leadership to multidisciplinary staff in delivering mental health services.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- The appropriate degree or equivalent qualifications for your respective discipline (please see role description in Useful Links section for more details)
- Proven ability to take cultural guidance and direction from Aboriginal people and work in partnership with Aboriginal peers
- Proven ability to work with Aboriginal clients in liaison with local Aboriginal staff, peer support and other agencies.
- Proven ability to communicate, work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member within a multi-disciplinary and/or interagency team.
- Sound understanding of historical and contemporary issues that affect the health, development and social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal children, young people, families, and communities
- Significant understanding of the complexity and diversity of issues for Aboriginal communities and methods of culturally providing solutions particularly in the local Aboriginal South Australian context
- Have a Car license and be okay flying in planes.
- Willingness to undertake advanced 4WD training and willingness to drive in remote locations.
- Salary package a range of benefits (including living expenses such as mortgage, rent, utility bills and groceries) up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses each FBT year.

Special Conditions
This role is fly into Alice Springs and Drive into the APY Lands once a fortnight for a week then return to Adelaide.
