Senior Practice Officer

- Participate in consultation with other teams and areas within the Department to identify issues and to develop practical solutions.
- Collect, synthesise and analyse data and information from a range of sources to produce high quality reports that inform quality assurance processes and System and Practice Reviews regarding child deaths and serious injuries.
- Support the use of systems and design thinking and methods to inform development of innovative and evidence-based intervention services for young people in the youth justice system.
- Build and sustain organisational capacity to deliver a core suite of evidence based intervention services.
- Collaborate with other departmental and government staff to provide advice on issues relating to young people and their families, departmental intervention initiatives, and system reform required to enable high quality and effective intervention.
- Promote learning and information sharing in relation to intervention services, through the preparation of a range of high quality communication materials including reports, intranet content, cabinet submissions, executive correspondence, briefing material, speech notes and information papers.
- Maintain positive connections that diversify and expand the thinking, resources and investment base in youth justice.
- Implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and enhance and demonstrate the impact of intervention services.
