As our Senior Project Officer, you will: - Develop and apply project management skills and knowledge to successfully plan, deliver and evaluate the Fire Ant Suppression Taskforce primary producer's fire ant self-management project

• Supervise and help lead a small project team to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the project.- Provide technical advice to primary producers and other rural residents on the effective implementation of fire ant management, including risk mitigation, surveillance, treatment and reporting.- Provide effective project coordination, reporting and tracking of project activities including project deliverables and risks.- Lead project data recording processes utilising departmental programs, including mapping, field data capture and integration into National Fire Ant Eradication Program IT systems. Ensure sound governance of data collection, storage, analysis and reporting of results.- Plan and coordinate activities that support the engagement and extension with primary producers and other rural residents in the fire ant suppression area of South East Queensland, to incentivise and enable fire ant self-management.- Represent the Department at workshops, field days, meetings and engagements with primary producers to promote fire ant management activities and options.- The position will require some weekend work to facilitate training workshops.
