Our Anglicare Op Shop retail role offers a fun working environment with opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of others.

Our Anglicare Shops are connection points in their local communities and sell a wide range of high quality, recycled clothing, and accessories at affordable prices. Our Shops provide a hub for the community and a safe place where you can drop in, feel valued and find a caring, listening ear.

Many Shops are also linked with our local Anglican parishes, so you can find out about and connect with various church activities.

About the role:

We are seeking motivated and energetic Casual Shop Assistants to join our team in Northern Beaches and Inner West. We are looking for employees who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of people in need and providing excellent customer service to our customers.

Shop Assistant vacancies across Manly/Newport/Marrickville/Newtown/Rozelle/Rockdale.

Key responsibilities (not limited to):

Ensure shop monies are always secure and a safe workplace is maintained
Provide excellent customer service and a holistic experience to customers
Provide leadership to Volunteers and be a role model to engender an environment where Anglicare’s mission and vision are embraced
Ensure Volunteers are supported and foster strong teamwork
Complete and submit appropriate shop paperwork in an accurate and timely manner

About you:

Previous experience in a retail environment and a valid Working with Children's Check (willing to obtain)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to relate to a diverse customer group with compassion and kindness
Excellent customer service and retail experience
Well-developed numeracy skills
Covid19 vaccination, unless assessed exempt
