About the Site Supervisor:
- Supervise site operators, contractors and consultants, whilst they are on site, ensuring they work in compliance with a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) obligations, site Health Safety Environment Management System (HSEMP) requirements and legislation.
- Manage and implement the HSEMP for the site.
- Undertake effective management and supervision of contract activities and provide assessment of the performance of the contracts against the performance and evaluation criteria to the Project Manager
- Complete desktop assessments, including the collection and review of site data
- Interpret technical and other reports to guide project planning and risk management
- Undertake procurement planning, scoping and execution in line with the approved budget and approvals
- Other duties as directed and required.
- A high-risk work (HRW) licence and other qualifications under Workplace Health and Safety will be highly regarded.
- A trade certificate in a maintenance or industry-related field will be highly regarded
- A university degree from a recognised tertiary institution in a technical field would be highly regarded
- Experience in the mining industry is desirable
- An open C class driver licence is mandatory
- Physical fitness is necessary for field work in remote locations and challenging terrains.
