About the role:In this role you will:

• Lead and manage teams undertaking major state-wide projects providing direction and guidance to staff and project team members to achieve positive outcomes.
• Mentor and support staff in skills development, provide performance feedback,address non-performance on projects and promote continuous quality improvement, creativity, learning, innovation, and ethical behaviour.
• Actively participate in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement. Monitor the business environment for critical impacts on the department and opportunities for SVS service delivery providing sound and timely advice to address issues and ensure work outputs for projects.
• Provide high level advice and input to SVS senior management and other government stakeholders on legislation, policies, procedures, and guidelines in relation to valuation matters. The role may include being a valuation subject matter expert.
• Prepare or coordinate the preparation of submissions, briefing papers and reports for senior management and government agencies relating to valuations.

This position requires:

• The applicant must be a Registered Valuer in Queensland or be capable of becoming registered.
• It is the responsibility of any successful applicant to maintain registration with the Valuers Registration Board in Queensland. - While not mandatory, it would be preferable for the applicant to have a membership with the Australian Property Institute or/and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
• State Valuation Service is a state-wide operation. While this role may primarily service a region you may be required to assist across the State.
• Applicants must have a 'C' Class drivers' licence.
