Inspiring Choices 4 Kids is a highly respected registered provider of NDIS therapeutic and support services for children, young people and adults.
Inspiring Choices 4 Kids is a well established multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Nutritionist and other Allied Health Practitioners based on neuro-developmental model.
We are seeking dynamic and motivated Speech Pathologists to join our team. We have positions available that will allow you to take on new and existing clients with a mix of paediatric, adolescent and adult caseloads. At Inspiring Choices 4 Kids in Robina, Queensland, we have opportunities for experienced practitioners or new graduates, looking to join our team of passionate allied health professionals - supporting families and making a difference to children's lives. We are child centered and family focused integrative allied health clinic.
Our therapists support children with ASD, ADHD, ADD, Down Syndrome, Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Prader Willi Syndrome, neurological and developmental delays. Our focus is on primitive reflex integration, sensory integration, vestibula rehabilitation, neuromodulation and enhancing brain metabolism. We help to build skills and make a positive difference to a child's life.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Our Early Years caseload – you would see a broad range of clients in this age group and would be helping to develop our clinic-based early intervention service and parent training.
- School-aged children – This would primarily involve assessment and ongoing therapy targeting understanding and use of language, social communication skills, and a range of symbol communication/AAC opportunities.
- A broad adult caseload including – speech, language and social skills training. We provide a service to adults with an acquired brain injury e.g., stroke, progressive neurological conditions e.g., Parkinson's Disease and adults with disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Impairment.
- A growing dysphagia management/Mealtime assessment and food aversion caseload for all age groups.
- Assessment and evidence-based intervention for speech, language, communication, social communication, and mealtime assessments in children and adults.
- Conducting individual therapy.
- Stakeholder liaison and opportunities to provide education to support workers, teachers, families, carers and relevant client stakeholders.
- Documenting client activity using our practice management software in a timely manner and providing high-quality written reports.
- Working with our team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists and support staff and contributing to projects as needed.
- Working to continue to build the speech pathology team to expand and ensuring our practice is up to date with the best evidence.
- Degree in Speech Pathology.
- Current Speech Pathology Australia membership.
- Own transport, driver's license with capacity and willingness to drive.
- Working with Children Check clearance.
- NDIS worker screener/Police check clearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to take on new experiences and challenges.
- Efficient time management and independent organizational skills.
- Committed to ongoing professional growth.
