About the Opportunity
The paediatric Speech Pathology service at Liverpool Hospital, known as Rainbow Cottage, provides a highly varied and innovative speech pathology service to the diverse Liverpool community.
The paediatric Speech Pathology team provides assessment and therapy services through individual and group-based models of care, working with our multidisciplinary Rainbow Cottage team to support our community outpatients and complex multidisciplinary clients.
The team also has a number of outreach programs run in collaboration with local NGOs, KARI Aboriginal Resources and local schools.
The Liverpool Speech Pathology department will be recruiting 2 paediatric new graduate locums for 1 year with a potential for extension.
These positions will be rotational between the main paediatric service (Rainbow Cottage) and with the KARI Aboriginal Resources Allied Health team with the successful applicants spending approximately 6 months in each rotation.

- A bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia as evidenced by upload of the most recent academic transcript and latest paediatric and adult COMPASS documents to the ROB portal.
- Demonstrate an understanding of skills required to deliver Speech Pathology services to paediatrics in a busy community health type setting.
- Describe your understanding of reflective practice and its application to the clinical setting, including examples.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the skills required to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and how you have applied this in your clinical experiences thus far.

- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
