Your part in our Blue Care team
You’ll provide individualised, person-centred speech therapy to both our elderly and younger NDIS clients living in our Communities. You’ll actively incorporate contemporary theory and practice into therapy that promotes the independence and wellbeing of our elderly clients. This will include:
  • Proactively screen and assess clients to formulate and maintain up to date individualised care plans.
  • Maintaining open and fluid communication within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Referring clients to appropriate health care professionals when necessary.
  • Liaising compassionately with our clients and their families.

What makes a difference for us?
You’ll be passionate about implementing innovative therapies designed to enable your clients to maintain and improve their independence. You’ll be self-motivated and driven to incorporate contemporary theory in your day to day activities and make a real difference to the lives of our clients! You'll have:
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Speech Pathology
  • Experience as a Speech Pathologist/Therapist, preferably in the aged care. Graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
  • Clear understanding and experience with contemporary speech pathology theories and practices
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance as required
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
