About the Role

We are looking for motivated Supervisors to support the delivery of our geoscience programs across our BHP Coal assets in Queensland. Reporting to the Superintendent Exploration Operations, your role within the Exploration team will see you leading skilled teams in the safe and efficient delivery of field activities including seismic, drilling, and earthworks activities across our mine sites and exploration tenements.

As a collaborative leader focused on achieving program outcomes, you will foster an environment where health, wellbeing and a high performing culture underpins our success. This role requires a presence across our BHP Coal assets in Queensland; you could be based in Brisbane or in the Bowen Basin region on an 8:6 roster, we’re keen to discuss flexible work arrangements that may best suit you (including options for alternative home location, rosters and/or job share arrangements).

As the Supervisor Exploration you will:

Role-model a safe, productive, sustainable and disciplined approach to work

Be focused on creating a mature safety culture through engaging, developing and coaching your team in effective hazard identification and risk control

Effectively manage and successfully deliver projects in dynamic environments, through monitoring, tracking and reporting on project metrics
Encourage innovative thought and spend time improving to make each day better than the last

You’re an emerging leader and capable project manager – there is no mandatory experience or qualifications, your skills acquired through trade, professional qualification or in-role exposure demonstrate your ability to succeed. Project and/or production experience in civil, mining or exploration industries would be well suited, although is not essential.
