In this role, you'll:


• Lead the technical engineering electrical team with a focus on ensuring the design elements of the new electrical assets, within Sydney Trains Electrical Isolations Improvement Program scope, are to the required standards and regulations and fit for purpose.


• You’ll oversee and review designs submitted by the Technically Assured Organisation (TAO) for safety-critical systems, a new Remote Switching System, and provide feedback, ensuring the solution meets all safety and operational-critical requirements of Sydney Trains, standards and regulations to improve safety and efficiency.


• You will be the key interface with internal and external stakeholders, as a technical expert, representing the (EII) Program as part of the overall process to develop, assure, and implement a first-of-its-kind solution.

This full-time permanent position is based at Clyde Hub offering flexibility to work from home mixed with days in the office. We work collaboratively and on alternate weeks you will work one day from our Elizabeth Street office or the Rail Operations Centre in Alexandria.

About you


• Tertiary qualifications or relevant equivalent experience in an electrical engineering discipline or considerable experience at a senior level in electrical maintenance.


• Demonstrated experience in designing safety-critical electrical systems in an electrical maintenance environment. Ideally, you’ll also have experience with electrical and control systems design relating to rail power networks and systems, and functional safety systems and verifications.


• Demonstrated record of effectively leading and managing an electrical team and you’re recognised as an exceptional communicator, with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
