Technical Sales & Support Representative

As a Technical Sales and Support Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving our sales efforts and providing exceptional support to our customers. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, offering tailored solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You should be able to develop an excellent rapport with new and existing customers by being able to transfer technical information to non-technical clients and build confidence in our products and brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Organise and plan customer calls and visits in advance for meeting optimization
- Convert website and phone enquiries in to planned customer calls/visits.
- Provide technical support and product information to customers.
- Provide technical information to various non-technical customers and consumers
- Provide resolutions to customers and liaise with internal teams to problem solve queries and issues raised.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Promote, upsell and cross sell WAM Group products by keeping customer updated about new and existing products
- Use multi-tier sales techniques to engage various stake holders e.g. Direct customers & consumers, contractors, site-planners, councils, water authorities etc)
- Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to address customer requirements.
- Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations and proposals.
- Collate, generate and present reports to internal and external teams
- Update and maintain customer records, information and communication updates
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the company.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher mandatory. (Engineering stream preferred)
- Proven experience of minimum 2 years in sales and support role.
- Experience in water and wastewater industry is highly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to understand complex products.
- Result-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proactive & self-motivated with the ability to work independently / as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to deliver persuasive sales presentations and demonstrations.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong IT, software and sales tracking tool skills to manage
- Previous experience to report on sales activities periodically.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to meet clients, attend trade shows, and industry events as required.
