Tell me about this role:

Jacobs are on the hunt for an NV1 minimum cleared Technical Writer to support a Defence cyber project. This varied role is will be working with the project team responsible for designing a system that will become the future of Australian cyber security.

What will I be doing day to day?

• Plan, develop, organise, write and edit standard operating procedures and manuals
• Research, develop and write technical design specifications & technical manuals
• Developing written or visual product/process/technical documentation, business process maps, and user manuals
• Maintain quality assurance of documents continuity and style of content
• Write complex technical subject matter for a range of stakeholders, including non-technical or executive staff
• Develop and update engineering documentation, including a range of technical management strategies and plans, logistic plans and instructions
• Liaise with management, staff, customers, contractors and other organisations

What sort of skills do I need?

• Tertiary qualification, certification, vendor course or relevant industry experience Demonstrated experience in strong technical writing skills
• Ability to be fully responsible for meeting allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objectives
• Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
• Defence industry experience
• High level attention to detail
• Australian citizenship and NV1 security clearance as a minimum
