Position Descriptor:
The Communication Support Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation of communication intervention strategies for students with complex needs. This role involves working closely with the principal and teaching teams to facilitate effective communication intervention programs, including participation in screening processes, planning sessions, and meetings tailored to individual student needs. The Communication Support Officer will deliver effective, targeted support for students and work collaboratively with educators and service providers. Please note the salary amount may differ from that advertised. Salary is dependent upon your current employment status with the Department for Education, tenure and hours per week. The salary stated is based on an employee working 52 weeks per annum, full time equivalent. The successful applicant will be employed under the appropriate mode of employment.
