In this role, you'll:


Work as part of the Infrastructure and Place Project Development team with a focus on delivering technical and non-technical advice, providing detailed GIS information, maintaining web GIS, and managing dynamic data including technical resources.

As a GIS Analyst, you will maintain geospatial data sets to agreed standards in line with supporting project development deliverables. You will also support the creation of web maps and spatial applications to support decision making.

Utilise Geographic Information System techniques to provide a better understanding of certain variables in a given geographic location. Extract data from GIS software and use varying analysis methods to arrive at results.

Recommend appropriate strategies in response to GIS analysis, as well as provide maps and data sets to clients to supplement analysis.

You will work with asset information, extract details that are relevant, deliver maps for stakeholders, extract data for state agencies and develop reporting dashboards.

This is a fixed term opportunity until 21/07/2025

Flexible working arrangements.

Applicants based in regional NSW who live within commuting distance of a Transport hub, are encouraged to apply. Some travel within NSW to connect with other team members is expected 3-4 times per year. Team members are currently based throughout NSW.

About you


You will have qualifications in Geographic Information Systems (or a related discipline), along with a minimum of three years applied Geomatics related experience.
With proven skills in GIS mapping and spatial data analytics technology (ESRI, Arc GIS), you will also have a good knowledge of MS Office.
You will possess strong stakeholder management skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
