We are seeking a forward-thinking manager to lead the Transactional Shared Services Team ensuring that all daily, weekly and monthly transactions are processed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
We are seeking an experienced and motivating leader to manage our Shared Services team across multiple locations. You will mentor a diverse group including an Undergraduate Accountant, Accounts Receivable Officer, Accounts Payable Officer, and a Senior Payroll Officer. Your leadership and guidance will ensure the team performs to a high standard.
In this role you will:

• Develop standard operating practices and document key processes
• Identify opportunities to optimize workflows and drive continuous improvement
• Implement robust financial controls and ensure adherence
• Manage the working capital cycle
• Oversee the smooth month-end close process including:
• Timely and accurate ledger and sub-ledger closures
• Complete monthly accruals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Correct transactional accounting
• Payroll management
• Prepare insightful monthly management reports aligned to key deadlines
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies
• Engage stakeholders across business units
• Manage credit control and debtors
• Submit statutory reporting and returns

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Demonstrated leadership and technical accounting skills
• A finance degree and CPA / CA qualification
• Strong communication skills to liaise across the organization
• A collaborative team-player attitude
• Advanced Excel skills including pivots and charts

It would be highly regarded if you have:

• Shared services expertise and leadership experience
• Involvement in system transitions, interfaces or acquisitions
• Knowledge of our technology stack
• Ability to work with remote teams
