Vocation Education (VE) Manager, Program Development and Growth

As the Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision and operational excellence of our programs. You will be responsible for defining and implementing innovative programs and initiatives within the department, while also enhancing the overall profile and reputation of the team. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with fellow Managers and the VET executive team to drive the strategic initiatives outlined in our current VET roadmap. Reporting directly to the Director of Health Science & Community, you will support the achievement of departmental objectives and assess the feasibility of new initiatives, ensuring they align with our VET Roadmap. Your leadership and strategic mindset will be instrumental in delivering high-quality programs that make a meaningful impact.


About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • A sound knowledge and demonstrated significant experience and understanding of Vocational Education and Training sector disciplines and the requirements of relevant industries or partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in high level planning, organisational and complex problem-solving skills which enable business units to achieve performance targets and budgets.
  • A proven ability to negotiate, collaborate and foster strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent people leadership skills, communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to effectively support a team in the delivery of innovative teaching and learning courses.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster and promote an inclusive, healthy and safe learning environment and provide support and advice to a diverse range of students and clients.


Qualifications

  • AQF5 level (or above) Qualification in Education; OR
  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; OR
  • Relevant Vocational qualification; OR
  • Mixture of all of the above
