Within our Business Unit Secure Connected Edge (SCE), we have an open position for an ESD Design Engineer within the ESD Design team.

ESD Design is responsible for developing concepts and designs to protect our products from damage due to Electrostatic Discharges. The ESD design team supports the full SCE product portfolio, which includes state of the art products including those for mobile wallet, Io T security and secure ranging. These products are made possible by cutting edge technologies like NFC, RFID & UWB. The team is based in Gratkorn, Austria.


Your responsibilities:

• Develop a full understanding of ESD requirements and the performance of ESD protection devices for the technologies used in SCE products
  
• Propose ESD protection concepts for new products, new IC technologies
  
• Collaborate on design of ESD protection devices
  
• Design verification of the implementation of the ESD concept
  
• Simulate performance of ESD protection to verify the protection implementation
  
• Work with Product Engineering on ESD testing and results analysis for new products
  
  

Your profile:

• Have a Master or Ph D degree in Electronic Engineering or in a similar field
  
• Good understanding of analog circuit design and layout
  
• Understanding of basic device physics and parasitic CMOS devices
  
• Familiar with Cadence tool flow for analog IC development
  

Your personal traits:

• Good analytical, problem-solving skills
  
• Good team player with ability to work across teams and sites
  
• Good communication and reporting skills
