Industrial Engineer (all genders)

What You’ll Do

Manage and maintain factory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.
Oversee production tooling, including design, procurement, and maintenance.
Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP) to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Coordinate facility maintenance and asset management activities in accordance with GWS.
Prepare new Pilot and Manufacturing areas for operation, including factory equipment setup, tooling, and cleaning.
Inspect and modify all tooling and lifting fixtures to ensure safety compliance.
Supervise apprentices, including preparing training plans for Industrial Engineering and overseeing their progress.
Manage tooling and fixture management software to ensure accurate tracking and maintenance.
Represent Villach Manufacturing and Pilot in global tooling and fixturing standardization projects.
Control costs and plan budgets for manufacturing operations.
Update and manage bulk material inventory.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for packing and crating of wafer fabrication equipment.
- Develop new packing and crating concepts for new products in accordance with D&E and suppliers.
- Optimize packing and crating concepts to ensure the protection of our products during transportation to the customers at the lowest possible costs.

Who We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent work experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields or solid experience in improvement projects on the manufacturing floor (PSDMP, CIP, Lean Six Sigma).
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Solid skills in English (oral and written)

Preferred Qualifications

Creative thinking and strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
Solid understanding of electrical systems, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
Basic statistical analysis used in production settings.
Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance.
Understanding of the use and deployment of manufacturing execution systems.
Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and attention to detail.
Experience with Auto CAD.

What We're Offering

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for employees in the Metal Technology Industries in occupation group G. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
