Job Title:Demi Chef de Partie/Cook
Main Objectives: Prepare meals in hot or cold kitchens according to specified airline standards. Consult menus, select raw materials, and ensure food meets required specifications.
Main Duties:
- Take over from outgoing shift and check airline flight schedule for meal preparation requirements.
- Consult airline menus, select raw materials, and prepare meals as per specifications.
- Allocate tasks to Assistant Cooks and Kitchen Hands for preparation activities.
- Prepare bulk meals for first class passengers and label trays correctly.
- Coordinate with senior cooks and kitchen staff to accommodate late catering requests and special meals.
- Ensure efficient use of raw materials to minimize wastage.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure staff are properly attired.
- Keep the working area clean and report equipment faults.
- Comply with health, safety, and security regulations.
Supervision: Supervise Assistant Cooks and Kitchen Hands.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Intermediate education (9 years).
- Experience: 3 years in a similar position.
