Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring the use and maintenance of the Pool and the Gym facilities to ensure that they are in safe conditions and in proper working order.
• Welcome guests upon arrival with courtesy and professionalism and register them according to established standards and procedures including the adherence to all disclaimer procedures.
• Manage pool facilities including the routine set up and cleaning of furniture, equipment and restocking of amenities.
• Manage locker room use and keys according to established standards and procedures.
• Orient guests to the facilities and provide refreshments and amenities where appropriate.
• Supervise use of pool area by guests to ensure optimum safety standards.
• As Lifeguard, ensure all life safety equipment and emergency procedures are in place and in working order and that the area is free of safety hazards.
• Ensure the pool area is properly maintained to pass inspections and licensing requirements.
• Project courtesy, hospitality and professional behaviour across your department at all times with guests and fellow colleagues.
• Maintain a complete understanding of the Employee Handbook and adhere to regulations contained therein.
• Maintain a complete understanding of the Hotel’s policy relating to fire, safety and health, and ensure all precautions are taken to safeguard against incidents for areas under your supervision.
• Strictly follow COVID 19 precautionary measures outlined by the local legislation and company policies and procedures.

• Knowledgeable of lifesaving methods and procedures, including the administering of first aid and standard resuscitation measures.
• Knowledgeable of rules and regulations governing conduct of the public at pools.
• Knowledge of pool equipment and maintenance.
• Good command of the English language.

Experience , Training and Education

• Minimum of 1 year experience in the same position
