Your role
As a Commercial Controller Retail Belgium, you are responsible for the controlling processes of the Retail channel for both business lines.
The primary objective is to support the Commercial Management Team of Belgium and the Local Lead Controlling Benelux with pro-active, accurate and timely financial information and business insights in order to implement the Group strategy.
The role reports directly to the Local Lead Controlling Benelux.

Your role
As a Commercial Controller Retail Belgium, you are responsible for the controlling processes of the Retail channel for both business lines.
The primary objective is to support the Commercial Management Team of Belgium and the Local Lead Controlling Benelux with pro-active, accurate and timely financial information and business insights in order to implement the Group strategy.
The role reports directly to the Local Lead Controlling Benelux.
Your key responsibilities
- You’re responsible for a transparent, accurate, relevant and on time monthly closing, reporting and analysis for the commercial units
- You ensure a standardized, relevant, clear and on time way of reporting and related analysis
- You act as a critical and independent business partner and challenger towards commercial management
- You ensure regular discussions and close cooperations with commercial management on the actual performance, operational changes and issues
- You are responsible for commercial planning: you ensure the budget, forecast (latest estimates) and strategy are ambitious, accurate, reliable and on-time
- You support the commercial management in ad hoc exercises and projects;
- You review existing processes and look for efficiency opportunities and standardization

Are you the one we’re looking for?
- You hold a Master’s Degree in Economics and have 3 to 5 years working experience
- You are highly analytical with a flair for numbers and you possess a good knowledge and understanding of financial topics;
- You are a team player with a hands-on mentality who likes to take initiative.
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, in Dutch and English. Within this role, you will be in close contact with a lot of internal stakeholders such as commercial managers and finance management and will present results on management meetings.
- You are genuinely interested in the business and its markets and you are able to understand and explain the total picture of all projects and processes.
- You are a multitasker with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
- You are highly flexible, proactive, pragmatic, stress resistant, problem-solving and result oriented.
- You are ambitious and eager to learn
- You have excellent knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of SAP, SAP BW and Power BI is an advantage.
