To strengthen our Group Corporate Affairs team, based at the HQ, in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Corporate Affairs Lead


About The Role

In order to enhance, support and protect the company reputation, UCB is looking for a seasoned Corporate Affairs Lead who will play a key role in the evolution of UCB’s Patient Value Strategy.
The candidate should excel in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines with high quality work, bring creative ideas and solutions to challenges, collaborate across functions as well as manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
This role will work under guidance of the Managing Director UCB Belgium and/European Corporate Affairs lead.


What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute the Corporate Affairs strategy for UCB Belgium, including the BE Corporate Affairs Plan.
• Build and maintain relationships with key external Public Affairs stakeholders.
• Protect and enhance UCB’s reputation in Belgium, collaborating closely with the Communication Department.
• Contribute to UCB’s engagement with trade associations such as Pharma.be, Essenscia, Biowin, Amcham, and Efpia.
• Coordinate the early detection of political issues impacting UCB’s reputation and business, and analyze potential BEL/EU legislative impacts.
• Implement and manage the stakeholder plan for UCB Belgium, ensuring effective collaboration with political institutions, patient organizations, and other key stakeholders.

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

• Master's degree preferred, with strong experience in advocacy, public affairs, or related fields such as politics, agency work, or journalism.
• Proven track record in leading and managing relationships strategically and operationally, with a history of achieving results.
• Strong understanding of the Belgian political and legislative landscape, with an existing political stakeholder network at both the Belgian and regional levels (Flanders and Wallonia) being advantageous.
• Experience in creating and implementing public affairs, communication, and advocacy programs across multiple business units and stakeholders.
• Ability to influence senior management and make decisions, coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit and self-starter mentality.
• High professional versatility, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Fluency in English, French, and Dutch is essential.
