To strengthen our Quality Systems & Governance department we are looking for a talented profile to fill the position of: Corporate Process Owner – Braine l’Alleud, Belgium
About the role
The Corporate Process Owner (CPO) provides leadership and strategy to ensure the definition, development, implementation and lifecycle management of UCB’s deviation, CAPA and investigation Management transversal Gx P Process and System and has responsibility for UCB’s Governance for Corporate Process Ownership.
You will work with
As a CPO you are responsible for overseeing Deviation Management, CAPA Management and Investigation Management comprising a scope of multiple GXP domains and/or departments. You will collaborate with the community of CPOs and various stakeholders across departments to ensure process alignment, performance, compliance and continuous improvement.
What you will do
- Assume responsibility as the Corporate Process Owner for Deviation Management, CAPA Management, and Investigations under the GXP QMS.
- Ensure the design of an harmonized, effective, compliant process and be accountable for delivering quality outcomes across the organization.
- Ensure the process is clearly defined, designed, and documented at the corporate level and across Gx P domains, collaborating closely with other CPOs involved in Deviation Management, CAPA management and investigations.
- Promote best practices and maintains communication on changes and improvement initiatives
- Manage corporate documentation (UCB policies, standards, and procedures) and relevant training in English for assigned Quality System Processes.
- Oversees domain-specific documentation and training strategy, ensuring alignment with training needs analyses.
- Ensure compliance with authority regulations and industry benchmarks
- Provide QA expertise to drive strategic and operational Quality Assurance alignment and decision-making related to process adaptations and improvements, particularly concerning IT system changes for processes managed by the CPO.
- Collaborate with domain CPOs and the Process Data Owner (PDO) to set the system strategy and its application.
- Promote a global approach to standardize processes and ensure alignment with Domain CPOs.
- Build, establishes, and develops a governance model and process which fosters continuous process improvement
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills
- Preferably a Master’s degree
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in French being an additional asset
- Experience in managing deviations, investigations, and CAPAs, with a background in process harmonization and design (e.g., Six Sigma).
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Gen AI, dashboard creation, and reporting tools.
- Excellent stakeholders’ management capabilities and negotiation/influencing skills
- Profound understanding of global Gx P regulations
- 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment
- Foster a quality culture of shared accountability and knowledge sharing through inspiring, motivating, influencing, teaching and coaching others
- Backs change initiatives for value creation and promotes a technology-motivated mindset
- Must have a process improvement mindset, able to influence different stakeholders, find common ground and bring stakeholders closer together with aligned approach
- Must be able to act in most circumstances without direct supervision and handle complex/difficult situations. Output from actions will most likely impact activities across several departments
- Must have ability to identify risks and propose corrective actions within areas of expertise. Also demonstrates initiative and the ability to help others solve problems in a creative and practical way
- Must have the ability to manage projects or activities across global geographies within the area of expertise. Be capable of guiding and motivating teams and demonstrate professional maturity in difficult situations. Set stimulating objectives for self and others and drive for results
- IT skills to effectively understand and communicate with the IT department to improve system requirements
