As a Data Engineer, you ensure data is accessible, in the correct form, at the right place, and at the right time. You transport and enrich data to provide people and organizations with the reliable information needed for making strategic decisions.
Data engineer- Job description
· Design, model, build, and maintain the data architecture needed for specific data challenges.
· Translate business needs into clear specifications for new reporting.
· Consolidate structured and unstructured data sources and make them available at the required time.
· Clean and verify data, ensuring data quality.
· Provide users with appropriate analytical tools (reports, dashboards, analyses, data models) and support them through targeted analysis.
· Document source files, needs, specifications, and existing analyses.
· Deliver user documentation and maintain proper documentation for all processes.
Data engineer - Profile
· Bachelor's degree (or equivalent by experience) and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
· Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is considered as plus
· Skilled in SQL Server technology and proficient in writing queries.
· Experience with SSIS for ETL processes and SSAS data models for Power BI. Knowledge of Power BI Report Server is a plus.
· Autonomous worker who enjoys collaborating within a team, sharing information with colleagues and clients.
· Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results.
· Analytical thinker who can structure vast amounts of data and adapt to unforeseen circumstances with ease.
